door weather stripping

Check out Jc whitney, They have one for a 83-92 ford ranger. Looks pretty close. But so do some of the others. They will send you a sample if you call and request. I did that myself one time and it was not the correct size. If you do find one to be acceptable, please post it...Newsflash!!! I just ordered a sample of WL816591U from jc whitney. It will take at least a week to get here, I'll let you know how it fits..

OOHHH, I was thinking door strips. The window felts I have used came from Hall. But I must say the looked pretty generic. Still I would go to JC, and request a sample, try WL887795

Back to the original topic, i bought new factory rubber, and have a couple of issues. The first issue,is the rubber is too long, for the opening, are they cut to fit? The second issue, with the new rubber installed(excess tucked inside) the door is a 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch away from closing. I heard that the factory offered three thickness of weatherstripping, is this correct?
