drag racing nova

Before i got my Pantera. I got carried away with this 409 ci small block. I built too much motor for street use...say 600 hp. So we stuck it in this Nova, the track is 2 miles away. It runs a consistant 6.84 @ 100 mph in the 1/8...It is fun and not against the law either! Me and my buddies are taking her out tonight..Say good luck !!!

Cybo, I had a blast alright..it just takes a lot of energy....waiting in the staging lanes..up untill Midnite, I think the mental alertness takes it out of me, or maybe I'm just getting old, I'm beat today. Did not even make it the local car show. But a Mustang I painted came in top 10. Matbe i can watch some racing on TV....

lastpushbutton I agree 100% thats why I gave up drag racing, it was exhausting waiting in the blistering sun in the staging lanes for hours. But I loved the racing. Here is a pic of my 66 Comet 428 CJ it ran 10:90 132mph 1/4 mile . I keep thinking of putting the FE in the pantera but I think its too wide for the engine bay.
