just for info, a 3 door MK2 Fiat Punto door motor
has an 8mm dia shaft.
this is very easy to fit. Cost for 2 here in the UK £30.
Works well but you still have the gearbox whine.

Here is a pic , original holes are used and only a plate made to support the motor from aluminium.
Very cool. That looks easier than the Ford Taurus-type notor and gearbox install!

not much speed difference it is a little faster, but the old motor sent the window up in fits and starts ( various speeds ) this motor is constant in speed.
I do not have a part number but again the motor is from a 3 door MK2 Punto, the 4 door car has a motor with a smaller diameter shaft.
There must be salvage yards where you are with these kind of cars?? if not let me Know. I will then chase up a part number for you. Peter.
