I have a 351C from a 72 Pantera with 88k original miles. I would like to sell it to a Pantera owner but I don't know how to prove it is an original. Is there some way to check by the serial number or something?

Yes, Detomaso stamped a number in the block, on the left (driver) side, visible from the back. Look above the bellhousing, and below the head. 5 digits, and should start with 0.
