The stock GT5 and GT5-S mirrors are Vitalonis, mounted on the door skin as Dennis says. The Vitalonis are somewhat different than the mirrors shown in his photos however. The stock mounting location is also a little higher - it's on the upper door panel - the one that is roughly at a 45 degree angle.

In any regards, it doesn't matter as rear visibility is pretty poor. The real wheel arches being as wide as they are pretty much block a good portion of the view.

Charlie's right, with out sounding stupid I have attached a small fish
eye mirror on the mirror itself.
When I reverse my visibility is so bad you can't see the sides too well,
as charlie said my guards are as wide as the mirrors, you need to see as much as possible so you dont hit anything.
Im actually installing a reversing camera in the back as well. Big Grin

That doesn't sound stupid, that sounds pretty clever. Rear visibility, between those fender flares and the rear wing, is pretty much nil. Putting a little fisheye mirror may make things less bad...

It is especially difficult at night when you are trying to judge distances of the headlights following you - do I have the distance to change lanes or not?

Those fender flares and wings obstruct vision a little, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Such is the price we pay :-)
