fan relay

The fan relay that turns on first goes out when the second relay comes on around 200 deg. Any insight before I decide to start looking for the problem. I hard wired the fan bypassing the relay so it comes on when the engine turns on the other comes on thru the other relay at around 200 deg works fine. Anyway I want to make right, I've already replaced the relay.

The way you have it now was one of Fords many overheating-fixes for early cars. They hard-wired one fan to the unused lower rocker switch, allowing the original thermostat to click the second fan on at 195-or so. The lower-temp thermostat was unused. You should be just fine.
