flexalite fans

Uh, yea, I see something wrong.

Summit lists that FAL #325 dual fan for $370.

The flexalite 220 is about $230 from summit.

Why try to reinvent the wheel - the 220 is proven to be a perfect fit and great performance - and test out the FAL that costs $140 more???

I can't see any difference in specs or performance both spin 2,000 rpm, pull 2,500 cfm and draw 19.5 amps. Unless of course you want a bling color yellow fan set up

I got the black 220....it is different from the 210 because it does not have the relay and thermo kit......but the seller through them in. 205$ delivered..Thanks....bill

I went for the flex lite and never looked back had to put a therm switch in cause it ran to cold, on those hot summer days running cool in traffic take care enjoy the ride

One more question. What size are the temp sensor holes in the Fluidine? They don't seem to be NPT. I plan to plug them. Interesting about the bulb thermocouple... One set of instructions says put it through the radiator fins... Another says put it in the incoming hose and clamp it under the rubber hose. I like the latter. Any opinions?

The holes are M22 X1.50

Bill, I recommend neither, get yourself a M22 x 1.5 male with 3/8 npt female center and a 3/8 npt thermocouple that will be direct in the radiator. This is what I have and linked it to a variable on/off thermostatic switch for the fans.

Thanks Ron! Julian, I already have the thermo bulb and I tried to see if it would fit a 1/4 inch brass ferrel connector but the bulb is too small. I would prefer to install it that way too. I'll try 1/8 today BTW NAPA part number for the m22x1.5 oil pan plug BK 704-1048. I made aluminum clips to hold the 220 sucker on the radiator so I did not have to run the ty raps through the $500 core. Sure is a nice package... Bill

Here is a pic of my setup so far.

I finally got around to the install. Used 1 1/4 wide radius copper sweat 90s Still need a few more double clamps. And a few more burps. Relay senses VIA cappilary tube inside hose. So far it goes to 195 and stays there.

Laid forward about 5 inches at the top.
