Garage Door Spring

Thanks to Mike @ PanteraPlace, I installed a PCV pipe over my garage door springs...just in time! I had to go with the 4" diameter pipe, as I tried a smaller pipe but it curled up even smaller after I cut it. One single cut down the middle seemed to work real well on the 4" pipe. HomeDepot didn't seem to want the cut pipe back though...hum.

This is an excellent mod to any garage, as is a safety cable. If you've ever seen the aftermath of a piece of broken garage door spring that cartwheels across a garage filled with nicely-painted cars, it ain't pretty!
