I seem to remember a post or article that gave NAPA part numbers for hoses that could be cut to length and replace the stock hoses. Now that I ready to replace hoses, I can't seem to find it. Anybody recall where it is?

Take a look at Mike Dailey's The Pantera Place in the technical section under coolant hoses. try http://www.panteraplace.com/page97.htm
If that doesn't take you directly to it search under "the Pantera Place" or check the links on the PI home page. Basically, you are looking for good quality 1 + 3/8's inside diameter radiator hose and you can buy it by the foot and cut it to the lengths you need.
You can also contact the vendors and buy a kit that includes all of the hoses precut and clamps included.

I am also in the middle of cooling sysetm up-grade and the type of hose that I have found best for the Pantera application is Gates Rubber Company product line: Green Stripe.

It is designed for heavy duty use and addresses cold weather sealing. (not a California issue)There are several types within the Green Stripe product line; 2 ply, 4 ply, Vibraflex and others. They also have sizes for the heater hoses.
I had orignally wanted to use silicon based hoses for appearance and easy removal for later disassembly but there are some disavantages with silicon.(perhaps there is input from others on silicon hose from the B.B.)
In terms of distributers you will have to do some searching So far I have found it is special order from an autoparts store once you find someone that knows what you are talking about. Be ready for the pricing it's premium hase and the price reflects that. $$$

I'm not sure about an optional hoses through Napa but I went with the Green Stripe and I have had no problems whatsoever. Re-hoses the hole car is a big job in itself and something you only want to do once! Don't take short cuts on this project!!
Another thought, make sure you do the 2 heater hoses under the console if your heater is connected. These are frequently ignored and dangerous if they burst, since they are spewing hot water right next to your leg and causing steam to form on all your windows. I have not actually experienced this but I imagine it is pretty exciting. I actually had the shut-off valves on my car but just eliminated them also with a couple of 5/8"s rubber caps and hose clamps on the inlet & outlet bosses on the block and pump.
