I was selling keys on eBay for a while. I still ahve a few left, both door and ignition. How does the ignition key differ from earlier years and I'll take a look.
There are (at least) two patterns of door keys also, I found this out when I bought some rubber headed door keys.
GT5-S has a different ignition lock than the old ones. In the older cars it came from Ford. The GT5-S has one out of a Renault.Call Pantera East. Marino has the original key blanks for GT5-S. Roland Jaecel DeTomaso Parts Center Europe www.detomaso.de
Thanks, I'll call Marino tomorrow. I hope he still has some left.
By the way, do you have any pictures of your Targa Pantera before you converted it to GT5-S trim that you can either send me or post to the 'Pantarga' album on this site?
Every key set I've come across on eBay has been for U.S. spec cars. I've had no luck there. Thanks for suggesting it anyway.

I have a '74 and an '86, and both have different door keys as well. They look identical with one exception: on the side with the 2 recesses, they are spaced closer together on the earlier car.
The ignition keys are entirely different. The biggest difference is that the pattern is reversed when looking down the barrel of the key. Looking down the barrel, the earlier key has sort of a reverse $ pattern. The later key has an x in the middle with vertical line going up from the right top of the x, and another going down from the lower left. To try and illustrate:
