Looking for a Mangusta

Yea, been thinking about that too.
It's always been my favorite, long before and after the Pantera.

I can see parking them both in the garage. (Wife's car has been already trained that it's an outside car)

Amazingly enough, this was the wife's idea! I guess that I'll get that 4 post lift that I've been wanting so that we can park them all.

Something fishy going on i've noticed a white, yellow, lime green, orange, red Pantera and now this beautiful Mangusta all with the same license plate. Just maybe they are fast and the law can't catch them????? Rob6145

You might talk to Robert Shewchuck, he has 3 Mangusta's and the word is that he is looking to sell at least one of them. He is in Idaho right now where he lives in the Summer, but will be back here in Az. in about 3 weeks.

Thanks, I saw it, beautiful car looks expensive and no listed price tells me that it is. My Mangusta quest has been put on temporary hold. We are working on some real estate deals that will hopefully finance the Mangusta purchase at a later date. Hopefully the prices won't sky rocket by then!

Well Dennis, I don't know if anyone else has ever thought of this or not, but they made so darn few Mangustas, they are always gonna be expensive. Now if you were to take one of your many Panteras and convert it too look like a mangusta, that would be cool. You would just remove thefront bumpers and put four headlights in where they went. Remove the rear trunk lid and make a clam shell trunk that pivots open in the middle. No one will be able to tell the differance. You will have a magusta that actualy runs and handles better than the original.

Kidding? I thought that was a great idea except he thinks small! I started thinking that I'd make it look like a Ferrari, Lambo or other expensive exotic and make some real money! If you're going to customize might as well make it worth your time!

Well I thought I had one. A guy in Arizona emails me with one for sale. I called him an it sounded good. I made arrangements to have it looked at the next morning and he emails me that he changed his mind and decided to keep the car. I wish people would make their decisions before making contact with people purporting to sell it.

Hi Dennis,

Was it this one? I tried contacting the guy several times and got no response. Part of me wants to get one before they become like Miuras and I can never afford one. Then again, if I wait long enough I will be able to afford one because all the people who have money will be buying mint vintage Civic Si's and will have never heard of a Mangusta. But do I really want to wait another 20 years...?

I contacted him and got more pictures and information. After that I cannot get in contact with him. My Emails don't return received messages so I don't know if he's getting them. Oh well, maybe he sold it after the bidding ended on Ebay.

He probably saw the Black Magic PIM car that Dave Adler is selling go way beyond his "buy it now" price and decided to keep a low profile and re-list hoping to get a bunch more $$$. Other than a crappy door fit, the car looked nice. What else did you find out?
