LPB GT5 clone

After seeing Downunder's true GT5. I think it is much BADDER than my button car. I don't want it to look like a Pinto GT with the wrong decals. If I use the decals I will leave off the GT5 part. I can still be proud to own a Detomaso automobile, but to proclaim it a GT5 would be a sacrilage to the real thing. I just sprayed som Nason ful thane, red. I like the paint, it laid down real slick. I will probably go all red, with the bottom a little lighter than the upper.

Like glass. This is what I wil put on 1362.

I have seen some like yours painted with "DETOMASO" and no GT5. They look real good and it is appropriate lettering for the car. It grasp the style without saying it is something it's not. I think it would look good.

I just came out of the booth. The paint in the pic is still wet, and should stay like that. I put the beside and cab corner in this week. Time for Allstate to pay up sucka!.

Ain't painting fun! The thing I hate about painting is it is the oposide to a good wine. Good wine gets better with age. Pain just gets a nick here, a scratch there, and before you know it your doing it all over again.

That is why I like to do it for other people!! When I have to paint my own cars, they represent me and my best. I enjoy the fact that I can be artistic and get paid. Most artists have to die before anybody appreciatets them.

I don't know if I can post but here goes.... My first paint was also an MGB. I built it with an AL Olds 215ci, a borg warner 5 speed and a narrowed chevt 10 bolt. I am not able to post the pics..having trouble resizing. Gimme your email Gary....I'll send if you want...LPB
