My modified car has everything redone, and one thing that is not correct is the actual MPH compared to the guage. For example, then I am driving about 70 MPH actual speed, it registers about 95 or so (and I know I am not doing 95 MPH actual speed). No bother, except that it is racking up unnecessary milage. Anyone have a fix for this?

Two ways I know is to have it calibrated at a speedo shop or pull the drive gear in the ZF and see if it's a US spec drive ratio or a euro drive. The US drive has 009 on the gear and the euro drive has a odd ratio with no number, I have a few at the shop I replaced out of some US cars but don't know how they got there.
I have a similar problem. Reads 60, doing 45. But this is a stock car (except for the go fast speedo mod!). Rear tires are 265/50/r15.

I am reluctant to remove the speedo housing with out learning more, I read somewhere in the archives about a shaft dropping inside the ZF if you weren't careful!

I have seen gear reduction speedo boxes, this was going to be my fix. Let us know how the problem resolves for you.

When I fix the high speedo, I will have to invest in a stroked, supercharged, 400M with Nitrous to get my Zero to sixty time back to 4.1 secs

The VDO 90 deg. has the ratio stamped on it 1:1 or 1.1:1, and on the back of the speedo gauge in the dash, in black is marked 1610 or 1210. I will post witch one will match what when I get to work unless someone has this info they can add. Now we are getting a little far from the ZF (ha ha)
