I purchased a high torque starter from a company called DB Electrical Rebuilders. It turned out to be a brand new Bosch mini sized, gear reduction high torque starter. Fit and runs perfectly. The price was great, $74.99 and $12 shipping to Hawaii. It got here via USPS priority mail in 3 days. They supply a wiring kit and diagram to swap over.

Really easy. Totally bolt in direct replacement with the addition with one wire connection for the solenoid which is easy, it comes with the prefabbed electical wire and a easy to read diagram (just request it). My block had studs holding on the stock starter which were too short, just removed them and swapped in longer bolts. Less than half the weight and size and spins like crazy.

I thought it was going to be a generic product but it turned out the be a brand new Bosch unit. Note the quality features in the description compared to some of the cheaper ones available. I looked at some priced $20 less but this one seemed of better quality and thats what it turned out to be.
Okay, I'll say this for the 98th time (eventually I tire of this or will get kicked off) but this kind of thing PAYS FOR membership all day long, many times over. Thanks 4inFord.

I'm going to see 'my' car for the first time ever this weekend, and will be handing a list of things to do (this tip included) to the Roush boys. Thanks Again,
