i am trying to source some original seats to replace the aftermarket seats that were in my car when purchased. I assume DeTomaso used something off the shelf rather than have them made from scratch, but haven’t found anything yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Brian, there were 2 seat types in Mangusta. A full fiberglass tub, similar to ISO/Bizz/Dino 246 and a 2 piece same as early Pantera.
Not only were there two different seats but one was known as a low-back and one was a high-back. IMHO, the low back, no-headrest type was quite uncomfortable to me and reminded me of a mid-'60s delivery van seat.
2 piece seats were used up to 8ma798, I think...Good luck finding either (!) Lee
