Pro-Comp is a Chinese company selling parts that are copies of other manufacturer's parts, and infringing on the copyrights or patents of these other companies.

I won't get into the moral arguments about doing business with them. Richard, this comment is not aimed at you, but since this posting will be read my many I have one question for anyone who would contemplate doing business with Pro-Comp after learning what business they are in. If Pro-Comp is in business ripping-off other companies, do you think their customer service is going to be any better, or do you think they will rip-off their customers too?

In my opinion the Mustang Depot is to be avoided equally for the same reasons because they sell Pro Comp parts.

Everyone should know, that when the Chinese government was taken to international court on this issue, they told the international community that they had no copyright or patent agreements with any other nation. In other words, they gave the rest of the world the middle finger. They are the pirates of the Pacific.

By the way Richard, the CHI line of Cleveland cylinder heads continues to grow in popularity and is becoming the standard for "street" heads. They are available in 3 flavors, 2V, 4V and 3V. The 3V head is available with 3 differing intake port volumes. THe heads are available set up for adjustable valve train, or can be special ordered with slotted pedestals. The heads can also be special ordered with 70cc combustion chambers for use with stroker motors. As you may guess, any 2V intake will bolt to a CHI 2V head. Any 4V intake will bolt to a CHI 4V head. CHI offers its own line of 3V intakes, plus 2V intakes can be modified to bolt up to the 3V heads. These heads have tremendous power potential. The 2V head is rated to 590 bhp, out of the box. The 3V head is the basis for DJEZC's 700 bhp Clevor he recently purchased from MME Racing. All but one of the top finishers in the last Engine Master's Challenge were equipped with CHI 3V heads.
Thanks George, Mustang Depot advertises the heads as being made in Austraila. They claim the heads are not made in China. If I go with CHI heads will I have the same problems with the intake manifold? I would like to stay with the Edelbrock manifold as it fits under the engine cover. I agree with you as far as companies who copy other peoples products. I buy north american were possible. It's a personal thing, we need to support our own country.
Richard T.
No matter which Cleveland manifold you are wanting to use, CHI has a head that will mate with it. If you have the Edelbrock Performer 4V, the manifold most often found on Panteras, you would want to purchase their 4V heads. These would also be the heads to buy if an owner were wanting to use an Edelbrock Torker, Blue Thunder or Holley Strip Dominator intake manifold.

Owners of the Edelbrock Performer 2V or Performer RPM Air Gap manifolds would want to purchase the CHI 2V heads.

CHI also sells a dual plane, low rise manifold for the 3V heads. It is cast to look identical to a Ford intake manifold. It raises the carburetor only 1/4" compared to the stock Ford manifold.

It's important to note, there are two companies out there. "The Mustang Depot" out of Riverside, CA, and Mustang Depot of Las Vegas. These companies are not affiliated.

The one out of Riverside sells on Ebay, and the one out of Las Vegas does not. Mustang Depot of Las Vegas generally stays away from internals and does not sell the products you are mentioning in the thread.
