I just entered the world of Pantera ownership. It's a complete car but has a few things wrong with it that need to be fixed. It's a 71 but it has the later still rubber front bumper. Not sure how that came about. It also has the rear glass and gills removed and some plastic vents in their place. I want to put the original gills back on it. I know some of the later cars had a provision for the fuel filler but it looks like there may be a couple of different gills for the earlier cars without the fuel filler. Is this the case or will any gill fit my car?

Hi Jamey, Welcome to the forum. The fuel door in the gill was not available on the 1971 model. It is on '73 & up. You said you want the original style gills. I do not know if the '71 & '72 have the same mounting hardware attached to the back. I have heard guys install a cut piece of glass for the rear. I think someone has a template.
Jamey,

I believe that all Pantera side gills are essentially the same size so it should be no issue. I have a '71 car that the previous owner cut a hole in the side gill to install a newer style exterior filler. Unfortunately he didn't make the fill neck pipe smooth enough and it is a nuisance to fill properly. I simply re-installed the engine bay pipe and until I get around to making a new curved neck, and fill from the engine bay (as I've done for 10 years on my other '71 Pantera).

As for the side window glass (I assume you refer to those), I am sure you can have some formed by a decent glass shop that has an oven (rare). It is curved in one direction if I remember correctly. Asking around (as you're doing) might turn up a set because guys often pull the glass for improved air flow.

Good luck with your car and these first few projects!

Mark
