REAR DECK FOR '74 | The De Tomaso Forums

The rear deck of my '74 GTS has been cut to accommodate a fuel injection system. I am returning the car to stock carb setup. I would like to find a damaged rear deck that could provide donor part to replace missing part of very front of rear deck. Thanks!

Newbie, finding an uncut deck lid (or front hood, either) is difficult and expensive. Two suggestions: ALL the vendors have crash-damage cars laying around. Call them- many are trying to earn a living and do not have time to play on the Web with forums or e-mails.
Second- most vendors sell fiberglas or other copies of steel hoods and decklids, which are cheaper and do not put the car into this situation when doing engine mods. If you simply can't find one at a price you can afford, buy a 'glas one and have it painted until a real-steel part shows up.

I have an early 72, and a 73, and the flat deck from the 72 is a very poor fit to the 73.
