Rebuild costs?

It depends on what you want done. Heads reworked? If so, what? Block work? Etc, etc, etc. If you provide the scope of the work to be done a better estimate can be provided.

OK you said stock....Still we need new pistons,rods,bearings,timing set, oil pump, cam, heads rbuilt with guides and SS valves, water pump, rings, and a gasket set. That has to be a minumum of $1500 plus some machine work, add $500 and make it Min. $2000... I belive you could make 500 hp for $5000. The difference being ,heads, intake, carburation, better rods and pistons and oil pan, machine work, and a stroked crank, I think I just ran out of money with the crank!!

I've had good luck with a machine shop in the Duarte area of So Cal. They're located near the 605 and 210 intersection. They did headwork to a 2 valve head for me and cam change and intake. Wow, what a difference! They are reasonable also. The name is Johnson Machine. Give them a holler.
