i picked up a set of remote power locks from j.c.whitney, neat accessory kit, but>>>>>>>>>
the connecting rod that runs from the lock solenoid to the door lock rod is fastened to the door lock rod by a bracket with 3 set screws, there just does not seem to be enough room to bend the connecting rod and attach the bracket to the door lock rod without a real lot of binding occuring. the binding is a result of the angles involved.
i am considering welding the rods together, looks like that would get rid of the angles that are causing the binding, but if i am wrong, i just gave myself a lot more work.
has anyone done this???? i was able to find one prior discussion a bit on topic.
any advice is greatly appreciated
