Hi all,
Wanted to share with you my new toy ... uh.. I mean tool. Wink

For years I have wanted a rotisserie, but haven't wanted to dedicate the shop space to having one. Then...last winter I ran across a gizmo called " Roller Hoop", invented by a gear head guy in Nebraska. I was totally intrigued by the idea. It provided full chassis access, was mobile and .... best of all...when not in use, you can hang it on the shop wall. Anyway, I purchased one this past spring. Due to summer family activities I haven't spent anytime with it yet. But..summer is over..kids are back in school. So, spent the last few weekends tinkering away making my mountings, and now have my daughters 69 Stang chassis mounted. It is so damn cool...I just had to share it with you guys. I'm really excited to get 4042 mounted next, should prove very helpful for the assembly process. Check it out... Rob's new toy

That is definitely cool, I went to the website to check pricing and it's not overly expensive for what you get.

Furthermore the website actually has as photo of a Pantera mounted up, how cool is that!

JFB, I don't think tube bumpers will work on a Pre-L car.

Hi guys,
Yep...agreed, not an option for Pre L. I think suspension or at least suspension area pick ups are best mounting locations structurally. I will want as little stress in the chassis as possible while doing cutting/welding work on chassis. So, mounting from the ends won't be my choice regardless of which chassis is being hooped.

BTW....don't bother gents. Already tried to buy his blue chassis in the vids/photos... Big Grin Wink
Rob; Interesting enough, I saw this roller hoop at a car show a couple years ago and thought then that it was much more efficient than the traditional rotisserie. And as you state, he was not willing to sell the displayed "roller hoop" Pantera. Having access at any degree of the rotation sure beats lying on your back with the car on jack stands.
That's cool. I made a simple kick over dolly for a friend. It rolls around and can set up on it's side pretty easily. We also used it to haul it:

With the same concept I made simple caster mounts which slid into the NASCAR I am working on. When I needed it to roll on it's side I made a simple reversible bar which mounted to the casters:
