seat choices

Check the Corvette C4 seats.

They are probably not as easy to find in the UK, but they fit good, are easy to install on the seat tracks, have good support, and look good in the car.

If you get a set, I can give you tips on my install.

I didn't miss that post George, I just thought it wasn't to be added to, I don't know why, so apologies for not posting on it.

I have now read all the posts, and am stunned at some of the choices of expensive seats.

Ferrari indeed wow. The mazda seats I mentioned it seems no one has tried out.
The main reason I chose the Mazda ones were that they are a good alternative here in the UK for TR 4/5/and 6 cars.

also we have trimmers who specialise in these seats.
I have contacted such a trimmer, and have asked a firm in Glasgow, Danilo Lucci to send me a sample of their estoril colour to see if it matches what I have fitted so far, with my light tan/beige console, best Peter.

Actually rode in the ugliest car ever, but the seat was pretty nice. Nissan Juke.
Had leather seats with red stitching.
Really don't know how it would fit, but thought about it since my car is red.

When I was looking for seats for my Pantera, I came very close to using a pair from a late '80's/early '90's Alfa Spider. They are thin shelled, quite narrow and have amazing thigh support. I'm sure they'd be easier to find in The UK/Europe than over here although I did manage to find a few pairs on eBay. Just another option to consider.

Another thin / low profile seat would be from the lotus elise/exige.

Those Alfa look nice. Nicest seats I ever saw were from a car in AZ I was visiting about 10 years ago. Looked and felt great and best of all of all they had the electronics to move the seats front & rear. I think he said they were out of a Ferrari. Could get into the dusty photo archives if interested in seeing.
