Well, my first guess would have been the velour seats, but you get the originals with the car, so I'm going to have to say it must be the ugly wheels. At least you know the headliner will never drop on you at speed...
So George when exactly was the disco era? By my recollection early seventies, which would put most Panteras right about there in the Disco era; I just guess most owners have moved on..... or just couldn't drive with those platform heels Big Grin

You know occasionally I'm known to throw some vinyl on the turntable for a bit of nostalgia. Can I admit that and still participate on the PIBB??

The downside of this particular car is the totally distateful Sunroof, but hey the owner even kept the cut out portion, which in itself kinda smacks of "I know I'm gonna regret this one day..."

Hell, the Fiero seats are even the upmarket speakers in the headrest version, just recover them in leather and transform the whole interior. I seem to remember a discussion right here on the PIBB where someone was looking for those very seats for their P car. They probably offer the best option of actually being able to hear your stereo over the Cleveland...that is if you truly want to drown out that natural '70's beat' Big Grin

There's nothing that can't be put right in a few hours and it looks a reasonably solid car, it'd have to be worth $30K, going by rcent project car sales.

When I was searching for a Pantera, I found one advertised in the California central valley that sounded perfect. Beautiful pics of the car - front 3/4 picture, side, rear, direct front, etc. - but all taken from a low angle. The car had the usual upgrades you would want too and the price seemed right - actually it seemed very good; until I got there. The seller neglected to tell me it had the same style sunroof installed. Damn! I thought I'd found my car.

I know Marlin Jack loves his sunroof, but I didn't want a sunroof. If the seller saved the panel, it wouldn't be too big a deal to put back right.

Just be sure to check out the rest of the car for rust.

Ciao!
Garth
Heck, if you are a tall guy, a sunroof can be handy. It may be the only way you could wear a race helmet. Or better still, when you weld the roof back in, put a Gurney bubble in it. No one will no any better. You can always lie and tell people you ordered it that way from the factory. A rare option and all that.
