Stiffen chassis

Hi everybody,
the subject of chassis stiffening has been delt with in the past, but I´m looking for tips on how to stiffen a ´72 Pantera (#2417) without using (very) visibile kits which are mounted in the front and rear bays of the car. Ideally just plates that are welded in the weaker areas and don`t detract from the originality of the car.
How have the chassis of the GTS/GT4/GT5 cars been reinforced?
Grateful for any tips!!
