Phil Mendelovitz and I will be at VARA's Route 66 Classic at California Speedway March 18 and 19 and would love to have our fellow Pantera faithful join us for an exciting weekend of vintage racing.

We'll have our typical expansive hospitality area set up (a cooler full of bottled water and Diet Coke) in our garage and parking for one or two Panteras should be available in the pit area for those who can successfully get past the guard.

The races will be utilizing the road racing configuration where Turns 1 and 2 of the oval are used along with the tight infield portion of the track.

Also be sure to sign up for the lunchtime track tour. Driving up on the banking below that enormous grandstand is an incredible experience - even at 55 MPH - and is well worth the $20 cost.

By the way, we'd like to put out a call for a volunteer photographer to take digital photos for a possible future magazine article about the race. Renumeration will be limited to unrestricted access to the aforementioned hospitality libations.
