Wanna see a 4 day paint job?

I'm just finishing day 2. I have never painted this color. It is WILD!.I Always use 3 coats of base. It covered well over the etch primer. The clear will dry overnite and I can tape it off the next day. The outside is going to be Nason Fulthane. My favorite! This color was $350 for the kit. But it covers 320 scratches and lays like glass. Since it is not metallic I can paint the deck separate. The hood will be Hot rod black. With the hood and deck off I can paint those jambs the same time I do the exterior.

I wish I could get stuff done that fast.
I like the nasons fulthane with intergrated clear, it wet sands very easy. Only problem I have found is that as it cures in the florida sun, it can shrink causing some cracking.
I think I am going Chroma base on 4499, more solids in the clear coat.

As soon as I get the motor back in my Boss 302 ...its on its way down ... a man after my own heart ...up here in NY your lucky if you get the car back in 6 months.

It's 6 am Monday. I pulled the Duster out of the booth back to the prep area. I shot a little guide on the primer. Now I'll block it with 220 on my air file. Time to get dusty. It's going to be 70 degrees Tuesday. Let's see how far I get today... Now it's 8 am. I have it in the booth and I'll start to water sand. That's all there is to it. I noticed I did miss a couple of dings. Like I say.. "You will have that from time to time" LOL

WOW...Looks great! 4 days? I'm sure it depends on what shape the body is in to begin with? WOW! It does looks good. It seems some shops could take a lesson and not put you on the FOR EVER plan! Wish you were closer to the west coast! LOL
