What is a Type 1 Transaxle...I have a stock unit from a '71

Easiest way to tell the type 1 trans is they only have 4 bolts holding the trans to the bellhousing no bolt provision in the 12 o'clock position on the bellhousing to trans.

Most 71 model year had the type 2 but the early cars came with the type 1
