Looking to buy my first Pantera. I'd rather pay the money up front for the finished product rather than buy a builder car needing work. I like narrow body or group 4 clone with steel flares. Preferably with a 427 hammer engine or 450 plus hp, but tame enough for street driving. I'm looking for a thoroughly sorted out Pantera with pretty much everything already done- built for speed and reliability. Not looking for a garage queen but rather a super sharp show quality driver car. I'm ready to pull the trigger if the right one comes along. My e-mail is davidshapero@verizon.net

thanks for the tip r mccall and PanteraDoug. Actually I have talked to John before about his yellow EFI Pantera. I love all the work he's done to the car. The car looks fantastic. I was a little nervous at first about his EFI but after doing some checking I now consider it a strong benefit, not a liability. However, yellow isn't my first color preference. I have a lead on a Pantera closer to me that I am going to check out. If that doesn't work out, I will be on my way to Texas to take a serious look at John Holmes car... even though being a novice I will hardly know what I'm looking at I feel somewhat at ease because John Holmes has satisfied me he is as honest as they come. Thanks again you guys for the tip.

Yellow can be very nice.

I think the absolute prettiest color I ever saw a Pantera in was this light sissy girly orange color on a car from Montreal. I think is was from Montreal.

I think I was in Lake George with SAAC and the Streetrodders around '82. Might have been Pocono, I'm not quite sure.

I recall it to have had a white interior and Gp.4 flares.
It was a pretty thing. I haven't seen it in years. It may be in the French sector, I don't know?
Yes, yellow can look nice. However, my color preference for Pantera's seems to be darker colors. I like Matt Bradley's Blue Pantera with the camel color interior. I like BoxBros dark red Pantera. I like 'Does200' cranberry color. I'd buy 'Does200" today if he'd sell it to me. But he won't....and I can't blame him. I'd wait him out till his heirs got the car and did a probate sale, but I think he's younger than me so that's out. So best thing to do is probably keep an open mind because the perfect Pantera for me may never come around. John Holmes has a nice looking car. I like all the work he's done to it. I am going to go to Texas to take a serious look at the car. We'll see what happens.
