Has anyone tried or have any coments about converting a Pantera to a waterless coolant like Evans? I use it in my diesel truck and have had great results.

I looked into a while back when I was putting my motor back together. I decided against it at this point because there was still some issues regarding water pump spin rates and it was still being tested on a few test cars. Call over and talk to them, they are very nice people and more than willing to talk about their concept.
It's something I thought would be good to keep an eye as it developes on considering I live in Arizona where it's hotter than hell in the summer.

Hi Coz,
I've been using NPG coolant (Evans) since last year and have had no problem with overheating ever since. Stock rad and fans although I added a third fan (sucker type) from a Pontiac Fiero that covers most of the center of the rad and is hooked up to a relay and toggle switch in case I need extra air. The two stock fans are stock motors with eight blades each (Hall Pantera) instead of the factory four. No lay down rad, but hood vents are used. My two coolant tanks are moved to the very rear (for easier access) which of course adds extra capacity for coolant. This was done a few years ago, but I still had cooling problems. Since switching to the NPG - no problems! You can also almost drink the stuff! Apparently it's been used in the food industry for years. Very enviromently friendly. They say it doesn't boil till over 360 degrees and is also good for very cold temps. No need to use antifreeze. It's also quite expensive, but if it's a good fix, then well worth it. I can now idle all day in traffic and not overheat even here in Vancouver, Canada where we don't get a lot of high temperature but usually summers are up to 27C. I also use a zero pressure rad cap with it, as was reccomended by the company. Hope this little bit of info helps.

Me thinks the Pantera guys ought to look at this stuff seriously,,, Dropped my temps 20% in my TurboDiesel truck..why not in a Pantera?
