Just when I pull my heads to replace my 2 piece stock valves. I find this article in Hot Rod. It was not broke but I'm fixin' it anyway.

BTW the article is about super high NASCAR and F1 Titanium tech. 2 piece valves.... But kinda makes you think that FOMOCO was ahead in the 2 piece design.... I'm gettin a Yahoo mixed with a buttery nipple and some Capitan Morgan coconut rum. ...

When you say two piece..forgive my ignorance but do you mean the type with the hardened tips??

The deal is ..... if you have factory stock Ford valves with 3 groove keepers..This means the valves start life a 2 seperate pieces. They can also come apart as seen in many a cleveland owner can testify. I'm getting rid of mine as a precaution.. I just think it is ironoc how things change and still we use 30 year old technology.
