How does this cable disconnect from the pivot arm?
There is a flange on the top of the drive gear and the body of the stamping is curved up, the combination hold the cable in place.

The pivot shaft is peened in place so it does not move up or down.

Any ideas or information to share on this?

Is that a statement of fact or a question?

The cable would need to be rotated out. The two pivots would need to be held in place while this is being done both removing and installing.

I don't know. That is why I am asking. No one seems to know.

It is basically the same unit installed in about 95% of European cars and yet the removal instructions from Triumph are different.

With the wiper arms removed the cable pulls out and the wiper pivots just spin freely. I've had mine out multiple times having made my custom wiper arms. It then goes back in the same way. You will push it through the tube and the pivots need to be free to spin as it threads in.
