Wiring MSD products

70 Stang,

I recently installed an MSD distributor, AL6 ignition box and the 8910 Tach adapter. If I remember correctly the respective instructions cover a full set of wiring diagrams for all cases. I could dig them out and scan them to pdf for you. How much hurry you in?

One bit of advice.

The electronic ignitions draw significantly more current than the oem breaker point ignition system, too much for the ignition switch to handle. The oem power for the ignition goes through the ignition switch. Don't use that wire to power the new ignition, instead use the wire to operate a relay, the relay can switch a fused circuit straight from the battery (pick it up at the starter relay) to supply the ignition.

The MSD I purchased for the BOSS car had a seperate, dedicated main power wire that ran directly to the battery so high current does not flow through the switch.
