As far as we can tell, the ball joints frt & rear are unique. any Pantera vendor has them in stock, but they are not cheap- the last time I looked, a complete set was over $750. So it behooves you to be real sure that the ones you are throwing away are in fact wasted. It's fairly simple to add Zerk fittings to your stock ball joints and steering tie rod ends, thus prolonging their life whther brand new or used..

How exactly do you do this?
To add zerk fittings to ball joints and tie-rod ends, you drill a hole in the piece, tap it to 1/4-28 and carefully screw the fitting in. On ball joints, the center is recessed so you need extended-length zerks, but thats about it. Ford used to sell a kit for installing them in Pintos that had no zerks either. I wrote an article years ago on doing this to my Pantera, with illustrations, in the POCA newsletter. FYI: upper balljoints in any car hardly ever fail since they are more lightly loaded than the lowers which carry the wt of the front end in addition to handling cornering loads & road shock.

Once again, thanks
I helped a friend change his lower balljoint a couple weeks ago. He bought it from a Pantera vendor for $275. The new one had the following numbers and letters on it.
TRW E 030 0002 224 009
P 2-1 >CR<
With a few phone calls to your local parts store that sells TRW parts, you can probably find them a lot cheaper. Good luck.
