149.6 MPH @ 6000 RPM. | The De Tomaso Forums

Well, after a year and some odd months the car finally hit the highway running.

With my GPS in the car and still running only a 6000 RPM chip I bumped the rev limiter at the top of 5th. The GPS recorded 149.6 MPH.

With 529 horsepower, it gets there pretty quick!

Just out of curiosity, are there any other Pantera owners up here in northern Minnesota?

Very, very nice. 149 @ 6, sure. Just about 174 @ 7, that's what the wing is for.

Was this at a VW Bug meet?

It was a long road getting to this point.

PnteraDoug- No, these pictures were taken at a local car club gathering in June. Any make and model welcome.

Unless you are giving me a hard time about the Porsche! That is also mine. The little Turbo ran a 12.40 @ 113 MPH in May of this year at BIR. This little Vee-Dub's got teeth!

That IS a pretty good time for the eighth.

Any idea what that VW might do in the 1/4?
