I was with my last doctor and health care insurance for 20 years, but I recently opted for less expensive health care insurance, which unfortunately also meant a change in doctors.

My new doctor ordered some lab work and so the pharmacy called to inform me. I just got off the phone with them.

I was instructed I needed to fast for 12 hours prior to my lab appointment; that's pretty common, I've always had to fast before having blood drawn. Then I was told I couldn't drink alcohol for 3 days prior to the lab appointment! I've never been told that before!

What the heck! How's a feller supposed to go 3 days without a drink?!

I walked into my doctors office with a cold and he saw me take a pull off a flask I had in my back pocket, he said what is that I said vickes 44 and showed him the bottle, he said pour that stuff out go home and fill that bottle with warm brandy and stay home for a few days I said will it help he stated nothing helps but it would hurt :-)

I didn't see anything about not hanging with fast and very forward ladies for three days? That should keep your mind off of it?

Show them the Pantera, then tell them you are a carpenter like you usually do. Then one of them will want to see your wood? Wink
