4 (now 5!) Cats at Russo & Steele

That black one gets around. Back in March 09 it sold for just under $57K from what I can see.

The two cars listed as '72 have April,'71 serial numbers. The auction details for the red one state "The car was built in approximately July or August of 1971 and only 63 Panteras were made that year. The car was sold in 1972".

That was my guess, but according to the VIN, the month is stated incorrectly.

I'm sure the build month is correct, but DeTomaso made a LOT more cars "that year" than 63.

FWIW According to my Marti Report, there were 120 cars produced in May, 1971 (the build date of my car). It also states that only 743 1971 Panteras were produced. That seems low. Chuck Melton would have a much better handle on this than I would.

Nah, I'm man enough to drive without power steering. I'm just surprised that someone makes a kit for it. Those have to be some seriously long power steering lines!

Hey, all of our Panteras came with power steering. It is called "Power Steering by Armstrong".
