A/C QUESTIONS

I just read through the pantera place A/C info,but I still need the oil amount and a part# for the switch.

One can of AC oil mixed with the freon of your choice will be enough. You didn't mention which freon your system uses. If its R-12, the freon/oil mix is inexplicably still for sale over the counter in CA & other restrictive states. Same goes for R-134a but NEVER mix the two oils; they gel when mixed. If running R-134a, its recommended to change the dryer and the expansion valve to one made specifically for R-134a. These expansion valves normally don't have the filter-screen installed, to get higher flow rates. Can't help with the switch p/n- go to an AC shop & ask what they recommend

I have the switch part figured out, I'm going to use a high pressure cutout that screws onto the high pressure service port. Since I use oil straight from my machine, how much oil is in a can of oil charge?

I have no idea how much oil in oz. is in a can of oil/freon. I suppose the AC compressor mfgr would know how much in oz. you'de need.
