That is one awesome looking GT40. Looks almost identical to Steve McQueen's GT40. I doubt you bought McQueen's car though-it recently sold for $11 Million dollars. Did you buy the car in the youtube video? I noticed it is a right hand drive, so I'm a bit confused. Anyway, if you did in fact buy the car in the youtube video, you picked the best looking GT40 I've ever seen.

I looked longingly at that car when I saw it for sale and had it been road registered long before 2010 I'd have started fire selling stuff to get it here. Very nice car indeed. An ERA is a beautiful version and you have scored a fantastic car.

Begs the question about what you're doing with the old one. Did you sell it already?

It's 351 Windsor based 408 stroker producing around 550HP mated to a ZF which until I get it here I don't know the gearing on, but assume std Pantera.

It came just a little too late for the Fun Rally track event, maybe next year, although I should get my act together and have the 74 Pantera readied.

I've been out working on the current KVA GT40 this weekend, which I will now sell.

Very nice Julian......wide tail MkI in Gulf Livery shod in Avons ummm-umm! A poked and stroked sbf with a zf always looks right in a MkI. Was that the ERA car I saw advertised a while back?

Yes exactly my thoughts, it had just about everything I wanted in a GT40. It is the ERA that Coventry Motorcars had for sale.

You sir, are a crazy person, which means you're a perfect fit here as well.

Love the Gulf colors, the noise, the 'wrong side' driver position and right hand shift. I parked my GT next to an ERA and just marveled how much tighter the design is. Not a line out of place, and not too much of anything...

Except brutality.
