I'm About to install a new AC switch in my 71. Are there any tips I need to know about before I start the process? Also how far does the AC switch sensor tube go into the evaporator box? Thanks in advance.

Sorry I did miss you post. Can't figure out how to get the sensor tube in the small hole of the evaporator box without the dash out. Will try running it up the drain tube into the coils.
Per TSB 9 article 78 the sensor tube goes exactly 4" into the side of the evaporator case.
My 71 has a hole in the top center for the capillary.
Everyone thank you for your help. I have taken out the glovebox, laid on my back and look up into the abyss. I can see the capillary tube go up and then turn into the evaporator box almost at the very top. Is this where the small hole is located?
