P/n 12 in the above illustration is what's generally known as the alt/AC compressor mount. Due to block height changes, this bracket will not fit 351 Windsor (or Windsor-based Dart, Fontana or World) blocks, or on modular engines. So there should be a few around from the bucks-up engine swap guys. It's made of 1/4" steel plate & weighs 16 lbs. My TIG-welded copy of 1/4" aluminum plate without the idler extension weighs 4 lbs...
With my bracket copy in 6061, I left off the idler pulley support and slotted the 4 mount holes, so the entire rotary compressor moves to adjust belt tension. This not only lightens the bracket, it eliminates Sankyo's adapter bracket and its 4 bolts. Less complication= more reliability. Did this in 1995; no problems yet.
