Folks, we are an international club and forums. As we enter this weekend, we have members and friends in southern Florida who have had their lives impacted by Hurricane Matthew. And many other members in Northern Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina who are in the hurricane's path.

I ask those who pray, to pray for these members. Those of you who don't, please send your warmest thoughts and emotional "light" to those among us who are in harms way.

Debbie and I are thinking of each of you. Be safe, God Bless.

AMEN to that G. Jan and I have family in FL, SC, kids and grand kids in VA. They have all moved inland and at this time are safe. Our hearts and prays do out to those in the path of Matthew. And bless God for all we have. I know this is not the forum for the religion. But we all still must look after each other as a human race.
We were untouched by Matthew on the W coast. However, Hermine flooded my hideout and I had to file a claim. The place was a fresh remodel too, we got 8" of water inside and now everything below 24" has to be replaced. Hermine hit us with "dirty side high tide"...

No big deal though, no one hurt, I can fix it, buy more junk to throw in there...
HayDude, thanks very much for your offer and concern.

Now that I have been able to see/hear the NEWS, I am VERY lucky to have survived with no damage and while it seemed bad during, with very little inconvience from the lack of power and services.

within a few miles of me is still experiance rising water and most likely be isolated due to damaged roads and power transmittion for weeks

In light of what my neighbors have lost, I even hate to mention, the possible loss I MIGHT suffer is that my Engine Builder is in one of the areas severely flooded now (cape Fear River). If so, his losses will FAR exceed mine

Joe
Glad to hear every came out OK so far. Hurricanes are very dangerous for sure.

My wife and I were in a direct hit cat-2 on St Martin years ago and it was terrifying hearing debris ripping off the building and flying around hitting the windows.

Really happy forum friends and families are safe.
My family and I had a vacation planned, but delayed our departure 1 day due to uncertainty of storm path. Thankfully just a windy day at my place, not even much rain. Now enjoying cool mountain air in eastern Tennessee. Back to work on the Pantera next week. Prayers for those who were much harder hit. Thanks for your concerns. Rodney.
