Took the plunge for a little more power and installed a set of closed chamber aussie heads. Bought a set used heads--naturally --sent them to the machine shop--magnafluxed--new valves and springs-camshaft--intake--(weiand 7516)etc. Problem is water in the oil--changed head gaskets twice--put in ARP bolts--I have done this 2 times and still have water in the oil. Pressure test is tight when engine is cold--warm engine shows leak in cooling system. The oil breather spews steam--I get no water through the exhaust--so I don't think the problem is the block--didn't have this problem with the stock 4V open chamber heads--it all boils down to the heads or intake-anyone had this problem--I really think one head must be cracked--although magnifluxing showed no anolomies. I don't know what the heads have been through--like excessive machining --anyone know what the formula is for computing the amount of intake machine work is required for x amount of material removed from the heads??????????????

Its not the intake, no coolant flows through the Cleveland's intake. Its most likely a head, unless the deck of the block is scored somewhere or warped. Cracks can occur in unusual places, most likely you have a crack hidden from the magnaflux operators view. Some head service shops have the ability to pressurize the bear head (necessary with aluminum heads), this will reveal cracks magnafluxing sometimes misses.
