What I don't understand about this auction is why they are selling it now, rather than in 2 months when it's done? The car will certainly show better when complete and will garner a higher number.
Let's say they get a high number for this Pantera now. What motivation do they have to finish the car off properly and not cut corners, or kick it out the door with little unfinished odds and ends?
A lot can happen in two months!

OK micheal, how about this......if you win the auction and are not satisfied when finished..they will refund your deposit. so for the 10g down you still have the right to refuse it...how could one loose?
I guess time will tell on this one.

FWIW, there's been quite a bit of discussion on the DeTomaso Forum about this car in the last week or so. Most feel it looks to much like a scam auction & advise the old "Buyer Beware" scenerio. I know I'd want to live close to the seller if I had any interest!

Maybe it is like an unfinished spec house and they want you to pick how you want things finished?? Like what color interior, what type seats, what kind of windshield washersquirter you want???? That way they can just keep driving the price up all day long. 
For it to be the best GT5 in the world, wouldn't it first need to actually BE a GT5? Or am I just picky... 
I would say that's a criteria that should be met!

This sounds like the WEBER man from NYC. Anyone thats going to buy a Clone would want to see it completed ?? Its only worth the money if its an excellent example ? No ? Sounds like a scam to me, but only time will tell. The best in the world ? Mike yours looks close to the best I have seen, so thats going to be real tough for them to beat ?
He should be saying the Best GT5 CLONE, (maybe) in the world.
