Doug, that was still when I had my old engine. It had bunches more HP than what I got now. It was fun, but a pain in the butt. You notice how it had trouble starting?? That was like all the time.

They are done. They are spaced out a full two inches.
My leg was like yours. Tight against the console and knee against the steering wheel.
Wilkinson doesn't recommending going any further then I did.
I think that you can BUT you risk not enough clutch travel and accellerator problems.
I did mine with solid veneered plywood.
I haven't decided if I will leave it or get Wilkinson to make it out of aluminum yet. No matter. Trust me on this one ol' buddy, it works.
It is definately worth the effort.

DeTom is a Pantera MISSIONARY! Spreading the word, to a younger generation! None of us are getting any younger, the majority of Pantera owners are 45 to 70+. Our hobby will vanish if we don't share it with the younger folks. I encourage everybody to share your car with folks 40 and younger as DeTom has, every opportunity you get.

There relly isn't much to show. Just the spacers under the plate. They are tappered 1/16" so the master cylinder clears the deck lid.
Even at that it is really close.
You can't see any detail inside the footbox. It's too close and dark in there.
The accellerator pedal has to be hung on a hardened bolt. The bolt is mounted to the side of the sheetmetal of the side of the footbox.
I haven't put all of the stops back on the pedals yet.
What started as just a mock-up, may stay in place.
Unless the car was attacked by termites or carpenter ants, the plywood is just as good as aluminum plate.

I heard he was warned by the Police about hanging out at that parking lot offering rides to total strangers, but that's just what I heard.

John, I love giving Pantera rides. IT has always been my favorite thing. I know I should charge money for it, but doing that for something I enjoy so much, just seems wrong somehow. Now I know how a hooker must feel like about charging for sex.
I guess I am just a Pantera ride slut.
