The headlights, windshield and turn signals are in, but no front grill or mirrors. The rear seems to be done other than aligning the exhaust. Looks good with the wing on.

WHAT THE HECK SHOULD I DO WITH THE TURN SIGNALS? The amber lenses look lame next to the orange paint. Can I go clear? Are you allowed to have red turn signals? Can I even get those in anything but amber?

I don't mind the existing tail lights with the orange color. Do you?

Looking really great Robert. I think those front TS lenses can be had in clear, but as I recall there are two screw placements and you need to be sure you get the right ones. Install a yellow bulb and you're all set. The rears are also available in clear (see Ron McCall's post) and on your car they might look good.

Can't wait to see some photos taken with a camera and not a phone! Wink

Those clear fronts look great on a black car. And they look good on this orange car:

I tracked down photos of the clear tail lights and they are not for me unless I smoked them. At the very least I need to paint the tail light buckets black. That little bright trim is already bugging me and I don't even have the car yet.

I think the clear would look great too. On the images others have posted, they seem to modernize the front end nicely.

However, since you are probably putting your fog lights back in below the signal lights, I'd suggest you wait until they're in and see if the amber lamps still look lame in combination - The two colour lenses that Larryw mentions might be the answer.

She's really looking good, keep up the posts!
Here are the two-color lenses I sell. These are the same style/size as de Tomaso used on the GT5 and GT5S cars. But different manufacturer. I include the necessary adapter plates for mounting in the L-model cars, new bulbs and instructions. They function with a 5 watt white running light, and a 21 watt amber signal light. No cutting of your wiring is needed, and only slight modification of the light buckets. Car could be returned to original with another adapter plate like the one I supply.

$125 includes shipping to USA.

And now may be the time to also consider upgrading those plain, dull run-of-the-mill stock Ford tail lights, too? Wink

Does anyone know if they will fit on a Pre-L bumper ?

Jeff,

I have looked into this a year or two back.

In a word, no.

Totally different light assemblies. I did decide if someone was REALLY motivated, they could fabricate some sort of mounting adapters and get my two-color lights suspended within the bumper light hole; they are a bit smaller than the opening.

But I could not picture this as being a nice, clean install without a LOT of planning, and then a lot of trial-and-error fitting.

I did see one pre-L with two color lenses a few years ago at Concorso. I never found the owner, but close inspection led me to believe he had just used a clear set of lenses, tinted one side amber but still only had one bulb. Got the look, but not the function.

I am not aware of the pre-L light having a two-color version.

Is it possible to flush mount the front turn signals somehow?- Robert

Here is a photo in the link of how they tucked in the signals on my 5S: http://www.poca.com/index.php/gallery/?g2_itemId=3069

If you are into modifications for the signals, I like how Pat did some BMW front signals:

Like the other dude said, just throw more money at it...we are all used to that by now.
