Ok boys so tell me what we are all doing with the carpets for our cars. I called my favorite vendor and they told me I have to go with a high quality aftermarket carpet ..like Mercedes carpet and go to a Auto Interior shop. I guess the finding of the carpet and cutting it out is easy. I need to sew on the border ..thats the hard part.

Any ideas

Thanks Ron

my carpets were in good shape - not worn - no tears, they were a little faded and a grey color that looked dated. I had them dyed black with out removing them from the car by a local trim shop. cost about $100.(I already had the seats out) The floor mats cover most of the carpet any way so if it didnt come out good I really didnt have much to loose. Came out great. Did it about a month ago and so far so good.
Ok after a few leads and a lot of thought ..I decided to bring it to an interior shop. There is one who came highly recommended ..so I took out all the panels ..DYNAMAT'd the bulkhead the floors and the front foot panels ... I'm going to have them reinstall some nice high quality carpeting and put back the rest of the interior ..reglueing the covering that has come unglued over time ... with all the right screws ..my new seat belts.

Thanks Ron
