I'm trying to change my clutch master cylinder, and am having trouble trying to get one of the the retaining washers off the pin which slides through the clevis. Does anyone have any suggestions? I read Mike Dailey's page, and he suggested removing the cotter pin, and sliding the pin out of the clevis. My car does not have a cotter pin, just a retaining washer in each side.

...I precisely measured the axis centerline of that pin! Then on the closest side of the footbox using a 2.5" holesaw in a veriable speed Milwalki; cut a hole through the sheet metal! Spray WD-40 on the pin and reach in 2" with heavy-duty pliers, and with a twisting motion pull the pin out! Make a 3" X 3" Stainless Plate .050" Thick; drill one .125" hole in each corner, put in place, square it up and drill through existing holes into the footwell sheet metal. Install with 4 Stainless sheetmetal screws and a rubber 'O' ring or putty. Now you can pull the pin anytime you want, you'll still have to get under the dash to reach the clip on the other side. But an added bonus is; you can also reach the 2 boltHeads that mount the Clutch Master cylinder, Itself. Where before you either had to have someone hold a wrench on the other side or rig up a restraining system...
