clutch wear

Can anyone tell me how much friction material is on a new vs. a used up clutch disk? I have removed the engine so I thought it would be a good idea to do some preventative maintence.
The current disk has about an eighth of an inch on each side.

Like brake shoes & pucks, a clutch disc can be used until the rivits are ALMOST touching the flywheel or clutch cover, althought the wear rate is not constant, so you can buy yourself a fair bit of trouble/expense letting things go that long. But I've been poor, too.....
