The funny thing about the Aston is that the guy that owns it wanted it so much that he bought it sight unseen and had to wait almost a year for it. Having no Aston Martin dealers in Hawaii, he purchased it from California. He later learned that the vehicle has to receive its maintenance servicing from an authorized dealer to avoid voiding the warranty. Having no dealers in Hawaii, he has to ship the car back each time.

We have a morning car event every Saturday too! This November marks our seventh year of cool cars http://www.panteraplace.com/page92.htm It is a lot of fun and I seldom miss the event. It took a lot of work to get it going but after all these years it just keeps slowly growing.

Question for you and Mike: Any tips on how best to get this kind of thing off the ground? We could SO use something like this where I live. Lots of great cars around here never see the light of day — but how to get to all these owners out? Other than newspaper stories, word of mouth and via service shops, any tips? Thanks,

The guys that started this were actually BMW enthusiasts. They started spreading the invitations to the local car clubs and through the automotive "grapevine" more and more people heard about it and attended. We now have just about every marque represented. They found a meeting place near one of our renovated water front areas where there is a large parking lot, shade and a fantastic eating place.
