George, here is the new post. It clearly states it is for a 351C. I guess you were set up.......I only bought it yesterday so have not even seen it yet.

Their web site does not indicate a 351C distributor is available. Either they mistakenly believe the 302 dizzy will fit, or they have a new model not yet advertised on their web site.
I feel like I was set-up.

Compare this with the poor quality knock-off products that have flooded the market and you'll see that the Compu-Tronix DIS-8 system is the best value for your hard earned money. This is absolutely the highest quality and best performing ignition system available any where. Don't continue to rely on 30 year old technology that simply doesn't hold up to your high performance demands!

My questions to them and their answers:
: Hi, I have several questions. #1. Is the unit smaller than a distributor? I have four Webers and it is a mid engine car and I am concerned about clearance problems as the distributor is between the rear window and the Webers, very close to each. #2. I have a roller cam. Is the drive gear compatable? #3. What is the price of an extra coil pack and how long do they last? #4. Is the system o.k. for everyday street use? #5. What internal bearings does it use? #6. Are the coil mounts available and what price? #7. I have 180 degree headers that come very near the valve covers - how is extreme heat on this system? #8. My MSD 7AL2 ignition system now provides plenty of spark and burns the extra gas that the Webers tend to leave at lower rpms. How does this system compare to that? Thanks, Steve Feb-10-09
A: 1. The mechanical trigger is 3.5" in diameter and 5" tall. 2. The distributor gear is a steel alloy. Check with your cam manufacturer for recommended gear material. 3. Replacement coil packs are $94.95. Sorry, no specific number on how long a coil will last. They're made by an OE manufacturer and are designed to last a very long time. 4. Yes, the system is designed for everyday street use. 5. Upper sealed bearing and a lower bronze bushing. 6. As stated in the auction, the coil mounts shown are not available. The coils can be mounted any where. A mounting kit is available for $24.95. Includes steel or aluminum stand offs that are welded to desired location. 7. You might consider NOT mounting the coils on the valve covers if heat is an issue. As said in 6, the coils can basically be mounted anywhere. 8. CD ignitions have a short, intense spark output. Inductive ignition systems such as our DIS unit have a very hot long spark output which helps to burn more of your air/fuel charge and increase combustion efficiency. Thank you for you interest.
